The socket is divided into two parts from the differ using,one parts use in the power  supply line ,generally named socket:the other used  in the equipment,which receive the electric power named apparatus socket.
in order to suit to all situations, the designs of socket appearance are different,they include linear socket,inclined socket,small flange socket,and so on.
According to rated current,there are four styles:16A,32A,63A,125A.
As for rated voltage,we have the following :DC:DC24V(purple),DC220V(blue),DC440V(red)  AC:AC24V~(purple),AC42V~(white),AC110-AC130V~(yellow),AC200-250~and AC380-415V~.
We have 3 pole (2P+E),4pole(3P+E),5pole(3P+N+E)
We have 50Hz,60Hz,150,200,300,400Hz for the rated frequency,50,60Hz are more usual.
The position earthing pole ranges from 1h to 12h,often 6h.
